Warm City, Mocha Mousse

도시는 언제나 바쁘고 차갑습니다.
그 속에서 잠시 숨을 고를 수 있는, 따뜻한 공간만 하나 있다면 얼마나 좋을까요?
이번 프로젝트는 바로 그 질문에서 시작됐습니다.
‘모카무스’라는 컬러를 중심으로, 도시의 흐름 속에서도 편안하게 머물 수 있는 거실을 상상해보았습니다.

The city is always busy, and often feels cold. This project began with a simple idea:
'what if there were just one warm, quiet space to pause in the middle of it all?'
Inspired by the soft, calming tones of mocha mousse, the space was designed to offer comfort without stepping outside the urban rhythm.

공간은 두 개의 영역으로 나누어져 있습니다.
주방과 이어져 있는 앞쪽에는 가벼운 식사를 하거나 책을 펼칠 수 있는 다이닝 공간을,

조금 더 안쪽에는 여러 명이 둘러 앉아서 쉴 수 있는 거실 공간을 두었죠.
두 영역은 벽으로 분리되기보다 자연스럽게 이어지며, 시선과 동선 모두가 유연하게 흐르도록 설계했습니다.

The space is divided into two zones with different functions.
Toward the front, connected to the kitchen, is a dining area for light meals or quiet moments with a book.
Further inside is the living room, designed for gathering and relaxing.
Rather than separating them with walls, the transition between zones is soft and seamless—visually and physically.

컬러는 이름처럼 ‘모카무스’ 톤을 중심에 두었습니다.
거실에는 따뜻한 브라운 컬러의 가죽 소파를, 다이닝 공간에는 차분한 무드의 모카무스 컬러 커튼을 배치해

전체적으로 온화하면서 안정감 있는 분위기로 연출했습니다.

As the name suggests, the entire color palette centers around mocha mousse tones.
In the living room, a warm brown leather sofa sets the tone; in the dining space, soft mocha-colored curtains filter the light and create a calm atmosphere.

다이닝 공간은 차분하고 안정적인 분위기로 구성했습니다.
Tecta의 다이닝 테이블을 중심으로 서로 다른 디자인의 체어들을 배치해 재미 요소를 주었고,

커튼과 가구, 그림에 공통적으로 브라운 컬러를 사용해 통일감을 주었습니다.

The dining area was designed to feel grounded and calm.
At the center is a Tecta dining table, surrounded by chairs of different designs to introduce a playful contrast.
Brown tones unify the furniture, curtains, and artwork, tying the space together.

창가에 길게 내려 앉은 커튼 사이로 보이는 도심 풍경이 다이닝 공간의 또 다른 액자가 되어 줍니다.

Through the long, softly draped curtains, the cityscape peeks in—framing the view like a living, breathing painting.

거실은 풍부한 색감으로 다채롭게 구성했습니다.
JacksonChameleon의 소파를 중심으로, 낮고 넓은 소파 테이블과 텍스처로 패턴을 표현한 러그를 함께 배치해

각 요소들이 부드럽게 연결되도록 했습니다.

The living room was arranged with a richer, more layered color scheme.
A JacksonChameleon sofa anchors the space, accompanied by a wide, low coffee table and a textured rug that subtly introduces pattern.

벽면에는 오크톤의 우드 패널을 시공하여 따뜻한 배경을 만들고,

그 위에는 간접 조명과 소형 아트워크를 배치해 시선이 편안하게 머물 수 있도록 구성했습니다.

The oak-toned wood panels on the wall add warmth,

while soft lighting and small artworks draw the eye gently across the space.

이 공간이 전하고자 하는 메시지는 단순합니다.

도시 안에서도 따뜻하고 단정한 휴식의 공간은 충분히 가능하다는 것.
‘모카무스’라는 컬러를 통해 색이 가진 감성과 기능, 그리고 그 안에 머무는 사람의 일상까지 함께 설계하고자 했습니다.
바쁜 일상 속, 여러분의 공간에도 작지만 확실한 쉼표 하나가 더해지기를 바랍니다.

The message behind this space is simple.

Even in a fast-paced city, warm and well-composed places for rest are absolutely possible.
Through the lens of mocha mousse, this project explores how color, material, and layout can shape not only a space—but the everyday lives of those who inhabit it.
May this be a quiet comma in the middle of your busy day.
